Chai Tea Latte

2 cups water

4 tsp. loose black tea

1/8 to 1/4 tsp. of ginger & cardamon

1 whole clove

1 cinnamon stick

1/4 cup of sugar or brown sugar

2 1/2 cups milk of your preference (ie: 2%, Almond, Coconut, etc.)


In a saucepan add water, spices, and loose tea leaves, bring to a boil & simmer for 5 minutes.

After boiling, add the sugar

Then, add the milk & bring back to boil which will not take too long, so keep an eye on it!

Here's a neat little trick: if you take a wooden spoon and lay it on top of the saucepan, the chai won't boil over.
